Turina Circulo op 91

Joaquín Turina’s Círculo… Op. 91 follows the course of the day in its three movements: from sunrise, Amanecer (calm and impressionistic), through the midday heat in Mediodía (dance-like and lively with Andalusian rhythms), to the evening twilight, Crepúsculo (elegiac). Influences from Spanish folklore invite listeners on a journey of discovery into Turinas’s picturesque musical language in this piano trio. Based on the first edition and the autograph score, this edition—with its well-researched, up-to-date musical text—provides the best foundation for an authentic interpretation of this Fantasía, full of fire and color!
