Musik Hug am Talacker – coming soon to the heart of Zürich

This is where we're opening our new home in Zürich. A place where music lives: where professional musicians bring in their instruments for servicing and beginners rent or buy their very first instrument. Here we're putting down roots and bringing along more than 200 years of experience and love for music.

From October 2026 you'll find us at Talacker 21 – just a few steps from Bahnhofstrasse and Paradeplatz, right in the heart of Zürich. From your first recorder to a Steinway & Sons grand piano: at our new location too, we make (almost) every instrument dream come true – with an open ear, time for you and the passion that has driven us since 1807.

We’re not simply moving – we’re celebrating our move with a public walking concert! On Saturday, 3 October 2026, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, we’ll make our way through Zurich city centre together with musicians from the Tonhalle Zürich: from Grossmünsterplatz to our new home at Talacker 21. Admission is free and no registration is required.

Schedule: 
2:45 pm – Meeting point at Grossmünsterplatz 9
3:00 pm – Opening concert, followed by our walk through Zurich with a short concert at Münsterhof
approx. 4:30 pm – Final concert at Talacker 21

In case of rain, the walking concert will not take place. Instead, we invite you to join us directly at Talacker 21 from 3:00 pm, where musicians from the Tonhalle will perform an opening concert. Capacity is limited to 100 people, so arriving early is recommended. We look forward to starting a new chapter for Musik Hug in Zurich together with you.
