The YAMAHA Professional Series marimba mallets are carefully crafted with a balanced weight and characteristics that allow the player to get the desired sound out of the instrument. The core of the two-tone models is coated with a special, porous rubber foam that produces a distinct change in sound when transitioning from a hard-hitting "forte" to a soft "piano". Each mallet in the series is carefully crafted by hand to guarantee the highest level of quality.
