Fifty years ago, Thomastik Infeld was the first string manufacturer in the world to successfully produce cello strings with a synthetic core made from the finest nylon threads. Since 1970, however, playing styles and sound ideas have changed continuously. There has been an increasing demand for a "Dominant-like" cello string set that expands the possibilities of the existing strings. In response to this request, Thomastik-Infeld developed the "Dominant Pro" strings. 

Inspired by the sound of a tube amplifier and with the help of the playing possibilities created by an innovative metal core, Dominant Pro redefines past sound ideals.
