As a result, the new digital pads enable more vibrant e-drum sounds than ever before.

The groundbreaking VH-14D opens up a new universe of playability, sensitive dynamics and variable sound shaping, even with amazing open/closed playback sharpness. The two-piece hi-hat design with thin 14" pads offers an authentic look and natural feel, while the high-resolution multi-sensor system not only reproduces the dynamics formidably, but also accurately reproduces the beating position and the work with the foot machine. Hi-hat splashes are authentically reproduced and even damping by hand is possible - just like with normal hi-hats.

The VH-14D is the perfect complement to the PD-140S Digital Snare and the CY-18DR Digital Ride. These three most nuanced components of your e-drum set let you take full advantage of the compelling benefits of the latest Roland technology.

For full expressive power, you'll want to use the VH-14D with the flagship TD-50X sound module - or with a TD-50 module that you upgrade with the free TD-50X upgrade. These two sound modules contain new sounds that are optimized for use with the VH-14D. Standard TD-27 modules are also compatible after an upgrade, but the new sounds are not integrated here.
