Easy mallet spread for beginners
With the Adams Soloist series marimbas, you have the choice between select Honduras Rosewood soundboards and the extremely affordable African Padouk wood soundboards. Padouk soundboards are an excellent alternative to rosewood, as they produce a wonderfully warm, woody sound at a fraction of the price. In contrast to other marimbas for students, all sound plates in the Soloist series are graduated in width and slightly narrower than the sound plates in the Artist series, which makes it easier for beginners to attach the mallets.

Safely on the road
Transporting an instrument is usually not easy for a percussionist. That's why both the rails and the resonators of the Solist Marimba can be folded in half so that the instruments fit easily into the trunk of almost any car.
