To create the SVC110, Yamaha's designers worked with some of the world's best cellists. The talent and inspiration of these artists is reflected in its warm tone and comfortable playability. The sound and playability of the SVC110 are very similar to an acoustic cello, but offers the advantage of being able to practice anywhere and at any time thanks to the silent function.

Excellent sound and elegant appearance

The SVC110 has a hollow body with a newly developed pickup for an amazingly natural, acoustic-like cello sound. A narrow opening under the top enhances the acoustic warmth of the instrument. A new lacquer finish enhances the beauty of the wood and matches the appearance of the instrument to its superior sound. The uniqueness of the Silent Cello lies in its ability to produce a naturally full-bodied, nuanced tone in a rich, simulated concert hall acoustic environment without the need for external signal processing. An original Yamaha chip delivers an extremely natural, warm reverb in three variations: Large Hall, Medium Hall and Room.

Connectivity and Play Along function

In addition to its many other features, the Yamaha Silent Cello has an aux input as well as line and headphone outputs. Connect an external sound source to the aux input to play along with a recording and/or connect the line output to an external sound system for live performances. The headphone jack supports quiet practicing with the reverb effects.
