We know that tying the traditional knot with a slippery string and a tiny spline is difficult or painful for many people, sometimes to the point of impossibility, and that means a broken harp string can be a big source of stress and anxiety. Over the years, we have grappled with this problem and searched for a method of string anchoring that is easy on the hands, relatively simple to use and holds firmly without causing string breakage or loss of tone. The search was more difficult than we thought, but we believe String Buttons meet all the criteria.
