Our opinion:
This model was released for the 125th anniversary of the company and it was a surprising and huge success, so it was decided to continue producing the instrument.
In the meantime, it has become the most popular Adler instrument and we find the price-performance ratio as an entry-level instrument unbeatable. In this price range, partial production is often outsourced to Asia or similar in order to save costs. But with this Adler bassoon we were able to see for ourselves on site that the entire production takes place in Markneukirchen (Germany) and that the same people also make the higher-quality Mönnig bassoons.
We recommend this model as a beginner/student instrument and can be played up to music club level without any problems.
Musikpunkt in Kriens has the largest selection of bassoons in Switzerland!
Instruments by Oscar Adler* (D), Fox* (USA), Gebrüder Mönnig (D), Bernd Moosmann (D), Mollenhauer* (D) and Yamaha (J) and S-bows from Heckel (D) and Leitzinger (D) can be tested here.
