The second volume of the critical edition of Alexandre Tansman’s works for guitar, edited by Frédéric Zigante. The edition brings together three compositions that could be attributed to the suite genre: Six Pièces pour guitare (1956), In modo polonico - Airs et Dances antiques et populaires de la Pologne (1964), Suite in modo polonico (1965). Based on comparative study of the extant sources, this edition enables to answer many of the questions left unresolved in earlier publications. At the same time, it reinstates the Notturno romantico and Cracovienne, left out by the composer during the complicated development of the suites, which are here published for the first time.
